Here’s a simple way that search can do better – when you search for “white house correspondents dinner” on YouTube, the first hit should be a video from the dinner itself instead of being buried behind 24 other clips of commentary about the dinner.

Mini Dream Journal – President Obama. Talking politics. Dressed as a turkey.

I’m just as confused as you are, and it was my dream!

I think the best part of my day so far has been closing all of the car-buying tabs that I’ve had open in my browser for the last month and a half. 😛

So I listened to SiriusXM in the new car on the drive home – about four hours worth – and I guess I’m kind of surprised to hear that people pay a monthly subscription for it and still have to listen to ads, too.

House ads would be one thing, but some of them were really bad, like for ambulance chasers and infomercial-style cleaning supplies. No thanks! 🙁

Just finished watching The Post about the publication of The Pentagon Papers in 1971 and am finding it hard to consider a role more patriotic than that of a journalist willing to call out his government when they’ve been deceitful to the American people.

I particularly liked the quote at the end which is a real quote from one of the Supreme Court justices who tried the case against the New York Times:

“In the First Amendment the Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to fulfill its essential role in our democracy. The press was to serve the governed, not the governors.” – Hugo Black

    Tags: commuting sucks, productivity, ,

A 30-minute commute to work costs a person 20 hours a month in lost time.

That’s six 40-hour work weeks wasted driving back and forth to the office each year!

Just think of what you could do with an extra month and a half of productive time every year…
